Dear  Eecutves

With due respect, we seek your advocacy on behalf of the Ethiopian people who have been subjected to a totalitarian regime under the guise of a fraudulent parliament for decades. We once again appeal to your support in addressing the grave human rights abuses taking place in Ethiopia under the brutal regime of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. His government is using a corrupt and illegitimate parliament as a tool to perpetuate an apartheid-style oppression and segregation, particularly targeting the Amhara people, who number close to 30 million in the second most populous region of Ethiopia.

Christian Tadele, a dedicated and faithful vocalist, is a staunch advocate for the rights of his people. He is currently imprisoned by the apartheid regime of Abiy Ahmed for speaking out and defending his community as a parliament member. His detention and torture without any legitimate charges represent a dire violation of human rights, and it is a matter of concern for all peace-loving parliamentarians around the world.

We urge you to advocate on behalf of Christian Tadele, as his unjust imprisonment is an issue that calls for immediate attention. We ask that you bring his case to the United Nations, the European Union, and the African Union — all of which Ethiopia has long been a member of. The regime in Ethiopia is blatantly violating the fundamental human rights of its citizens, including elected parliamentarians.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. We hope for your support in securing justice for the Ethiopian people.

Sincerely,
Ethiopian Americans
